The New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival will include two international competitions: one for feature-length fiction films and another for short fiction, documentary and experimental films. The festival is focused on films that display original aesthetics, represent a cultural and geographic diversity and have the potential to make a cinematic statement that will stand the test of time.
First and second films with a duration of 45 minutes or more, completed in 2019 or 2020, were accepted for the international competition of feature films.
Documentary, experimental and fiction films up to 45 minutes long, made by directors who have not made feature debut and completed in 2019 or 2020, were eligible for the international competition of short films.
For all films with dialogue, English subtitles are necessary if the original language is not English.
